Timelines

Timelines are chronological feeds of posts. There are three.

• Home — posts from the accounts and hashtags you follow, wherever they are.
• Public — public posts from the other people on this server.
• Network — public posts from the other servers this one knows about. It is unmoderated in the sense that nobody here chose it; it is what arrived.

They are in time order, newest first. Nothing is reordered, promoted or inserted — what you follow is what you get.

Tips

• Mute or block an account to keep it out of your home and public timelines.
• Post as unlisted to keep something off the public timelines while still letting your followers and anyone with the link see it.
• The network timeline can be turned off by the operators of a server. If you cannot find it, that is why.
