Safety tips
nicagram should be somewhere you can share photographs without it costing you anything. Five things make that more likely.
Know the rules
Read the terms of use and the community guidelines. They say what is not allowed here, and therefore what you can expect to be acted on when you report it.
Know the age guidelines
This software is intended for people over 16, or over 13 depending on where you live. This server may set a higher minimum; its terms say.
Report problematic content
If something breaks the rules, report it. Reports are read by this server's moderators.
Understand who sees your posts
Every post has a visibility: public, unlisted, followers only or direct. Learn what each one does before you need it rather than after.
Make your account or your posts private
You can make your account private, so that new followers have to be approved and your posts are shown to them alone. Turn it on at privacy settings. You can also block or mute anyone, at any time, without telling them.
Two more worth doing
- Turn on two-factor authentication — it is the single change that most reduces the chance of losing the account.
- Look through your account log occasionally for sign-ins you do not recognise.
